Welcome to Good Khin Gems, LLC
Giving Value to your Valuables with Excellence and Integrity

Your Jewelry Has a Story. Khin Goodkin Helps You Understand Its Value.
When you bring a piece of jewelry to Khin Goodkin, you’re not just getting a dollar figure. You’re getting the answer to the questions that actually matter — what is this piece really worth, what’s it made of, and what should you do with it?
Khin is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a Certified Master Appraiser with the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), and an ISG-certified gemologist. Those credentials represent years of study, rigorous testing, and real-world experience that she brings to every appraisal — whether it’s a family heirloom, an insurance appraisal, an estate piece, or something you’re thinking about selling.
Our Expertise
Khin Goodkin has spent her career doing one thing exceptionally well: telling you exactly what a piece of jewelry is, what it’s made of, and what it’s worth.
She holds credentials from some of the most respected institutions in the industry, including a Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA, Certified Master Appraiser status with NAJA, and ISG certification. Those credentials represent years of rigorous study, hands-on training, and real-world appraisal experience.
That experience matters when you’re dealing with an insurance claim, settling an estate, or making a decision about a piece you’ve owned for years. You need someone who can give you a clear, honest answer. That’s what Khin does.

Be Confident with Khin
Jewelry appraisals involve real money, real insurance policies, and sometimes real family history. You shouldn’t have to wonder whether the person evaluating your piece actually knows what they’re looking at.
With Khin, you don’t have to. Her credentials are current, her process is transparent, and her appraisals meet the standards required by insurance companies, courts, and the IRS. She’ll explain what she found, why it matters, and what you should do with the information.
You’ll leave knowing exactly what you have.

Custom Designed Jewelry
Have a diamond sitting in a setting you never wear? An heirloom piece that doesn’t feel like you anymore? Khin can help you reimagine it.
Working one-on-one with you, Khin takes your existing stones — or sources new ones — and designs a piece built around your vision. The result is something personal, wearable, and still connected to its history.
From the first sketch to the finished piece, you’re part of the process every step of the way.
THE PROCESS
The Appraisal Process is Simpler Than You Think
A lot of people aren't sure what happens when they bring in a piece of jewelry for appraisal. Here's how it works with Khin.
STEP ONE
Schedule your appointment
Reach out by phone or email. Khin will walk you through what to bring and what to expect so you're comfortable before you arrive.
STEP TWO
Bring your piece
Bring your jewelry, any existing documentation, and your questions. Khin examines each piece carefully and takes the time to explain what she's seeing.
STEP THREE
Receive your certified appraisal
You'll receive a detailed written appraisal document — certified, USPAP-compliant, and accepted by insurance companies, attorneys, and the IRS.
Why Clients Trust Khin Goodkin
Most people don’t know much about jewelry appraisals — and that’s okay. Khin does. She takes the time to explain what she’s looking at, what it means, and what you should do with the information. You leave with a document you can actually use and an understanding of what you have.
Her credentials aren’t just letters after a name. GIA, NAJA, and ISG represent the highest credentialing standards in the appraisal industry. All of Khin’s appraisals are USPAP-compliant — the methodology required by major insurers, attorneys, and the IRS.
Working with an independent appraiser means there’s no jewelry to sell you, no upsell, and no conflict of interest. Just an honest, expert opinion.
